John W. Autrey
John Autrey is President of EnviroQuest Research and CEO-President of Texas BioDiesel Corporation in Houston, Texas. He is a specialist in value-added marketing and management, business development, technology assessment, and commercialization. Mr. Autrey has 15 years of experience and has developed market and business development solutions for IBM, Xerox, Intergraph, and General Electric Medical Division. Mr. Autrey has served as a United Nations Development Program-Latin America consultant on value-added agricultural and market-supported, sustainable economic development, and microcredit programs. He has developed solutions for the United States Agency for International Development and funded non-governmental organizations, cooperative development organizations, and agricultural projects in Latin America. He worked as an assistant project analyst to the Chief of Division VI Inter-American Development Bank, Washington D.C. Mr. Autrey has also represented The Thomas Jefferson Center for Public Policy Research at the College of William & Mary, working in Latin America program development. Mr. Autrey was recently named to the Advisory Committee of the Sun Grant Initiative, a national network of land-grant universities and U.S. Department of Energy laboratories partnering to build a biobased economy. Established in legislation sponsored by Sen. Tom Daschle of South Dakota and Sen. Bill Frist of Tennessee, the Sun Grant Initiative was signed into law by President Bush
in 2004.
